Hello, I'm an air traffic controller at Boston Tracon. I began my career in 2002 at New York Center, later transferring to Denver Center in 2013, and finally settling at Boston Approach in 2017.
Currently residing in New Hampshire, I am happily married with a wife, a 9-year-old daughter, and a lovable yellow lab. I embrace life's challenges and have a penchant for adventurous pursuits.
I readily acknowledge that my NATCA experience may be less extensive than that of the more traditional nominees.
In terms of my direct contributions to NATCA, I have served as the secretary for my local chapter, represented an individual in a Weingarten meeting, and participated as a subject matter expert in ERAM and ATOPs as required by my former ZNY representative, who commanded genuine respect. I also held the role of the oceanic representative on the 'Crystal Palace' ZNY/N90 team and served as the training representative for my area in ZNY.
At the local level, I have actively contributed by teaching multiple stages in the enroute environment, assisting in the rewriting of local training orders, conducting recurrent training, and maintaining an ongoing role as an OJTI at my facility.
In terms of general qualifications, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science with minors in Safety, Air Traffic Control, and Meteorology. Furthermore, I possess a Commercial Pilot's license, an Aircraft Dispatcher license, a United States Parachute Association D license, and have completed over 50% of the credits required for my Master's in Business Administration.
I recognize the challenges ahead in this election, particularly for an outsider to the traditional nominee circle.
My presidential candidacy is driven by the belief that the national executive board has lost touch with the everyday struggles of the average member. My goal is to reconnect us with our roots and advocate for improved conditions for all bargaining unit members.
Having experienced the dynamics firsthand, both pre and post-NCEPT, I am intimately familiar with the challenges faced 'on the floor.' I've navigated through non-voluntary overtime, worked six days a week, and actively participated in an 804 realignment. Additionally, my journey includes serving as an OJTI at various facilities. These diverse experiences uniquely position me to represent and fight for the interests of all members.
